Stan for future reference,if someone makes a pick, say Ward, and say he does nbot make the field, will the person have time to make a change or be stuck with the loss, granted there wont always be a 61 car qualifying field,so whats the dealwith that?

    Lightbulb

The way we have always done it is that if a picked driver DNQs you lose.
We have never allowed making a substitute pick.

The only time we have changed picks is when a driver is replaced.
Like this week in the CTS Pick'em, Mark Martin was on the entry list & several people picked him.
Just a couple of days ago Mark Martin was changed to Kelly Bires in the #21 truck.
Some of us changed our picks before the deadline expired but some didn't.
Because Mark Martin was replaced, his replacement can be scored.
Anyone who picked Mark Martin & didn't change will be scored with Kelly Bires.

Take the road course races where you have the "aces".
People may pick a driver that isn't racing a full schedule. (like Scott Pruett, Ron Fellows, etc)
If one of these "aces" DNQs, the pick is lost, that is the risk a person takes for trying to "cash-in".

For the Daytona 500, I made the Duel races the qualifying deadline even though pole qualifying was days before.
Daytona's qualifying is different than the rest, so it required different deadlines.
However once the the Duel Qualifiers are over & the field is set, you have what you have.

In the Pick'em Games, BEFORE qualifying is the deadline & no changes can be allowed after deadline due to a DNQ.
My advice is pick who you think will succeed but be aware of of the size of the entry list & NASCAR's qualifying rules.
